Fee Management System

Overview

Super Teacher is a tool for independent teachers running coaching centres. I designed a fee management system that lets teachers create fee structures, track payments across students, and send automated reminders — replacing the spreadsheets and manual follow-ups that most coaching teachers rely on.

The Challenge

Independent coaching teachers in India manage fees manually — through notebooks, spreadsheets, or WhatsApp messages. Tracking who has paid, who hasn't, and when to send reminders is time-consuming and error-prone. The challenge was designing a system simple enough for non-tech-savvy teachers to adopt, yet comprehensive enough to replace their existing manual workflows.

Approach

I mapped the existing manual fee management workflows — from creating fee structures for different courses and batches, to tracking individual student payments, to following up on overdue fees. The design centered on a dashboard that gives teachers an instant overview of their financial status, with simple flows for creating fee plans, recording payments, and triggering reminders.
